
Claire Aindow – Pro Vice Chancellor (Growth and Development)
Claire is the university’s pro vice chancellor for growth and development. She has responsibility for oversight of the university's growth agenda including ensuring that the university's portfolio matches our regional and national needs and that the university is integrated into and draws from the ecosystems that surround us.
Claire is willing to speak to the media about:
- Transnational Education and Collaborative Provision - franchise, partnerships, regulatory oversight, the value of UKHE, and risks
- International students - risks, aspirations, recruitment and oversight
- Global learning - the place of development education in a modern university
- University leadership - skills, difficulties, areas of concern and current impact
- The integration of universities and the ecosystems that surround them - business, civic society, third sector, environmental considerations
- The employability agenda for universities including the tension between instrumental views of higher education and the pursuit of a liberal arts agenda.
- Social justice and the creation of social capital through higher education
- Equality, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing, in general and at HEIs
- International College
