Press notice: Celebrations for Cumbria’s university graduands

Carlisle Cathedral will play host to thousands of visitors next week when University of Cumbria graduation ceremonies take place.

More than 1,100 students are the latest to successfully complete their undergraduate degrees and postgraduate programmes in a range of academic fields.

These include the arts, education, teacher training, science and environment, along with health including nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, and other allied health areas, as well as policing, tourism management, project management, and business administration.

Those who have studied at the university’s sites in Carlisle, Ambleside, Lancaster, and London will be heading to Carlisle for the graduation celebrations, as will those who have studied in their workplaces, via distance learning or through degree apprenticeships routes.

Eight ceremonies will take place across 19-21 November inclusive. A number of honorary and other special awards will be conferred too.
