The development of the University of Cumbria is game-changing for Carlisle and cannot be praised enough for its dynamism and vision.  The University is working to physically change the city via the Citadels remodelling, placing the University and all it represents about ambition and hope for young people at the heart of the city, leading a change in external and internal perception of Carlisle, connecting across sectors to support the local economy and community, people and place.
