The University of Cumbria has anticipated and is meeting future changing demands for much needed qualified graduates both here in Cumbria, the UK and internationally.  This achievement has been made possible by the university innovating, researching, investing and developing new degree courses ranging from Engineering through to Youth Work in the Digital Age. 

The strategy of the university's successes and working collaboratively go beyond academia and providing the work place with suitable graduates. It is as I have witnessed, both at graduation ceremonies and in the City of Carlisle and the county , the positive impact the university is having on raising the aspirations of so many young people.
