Partners and Partnership working
The DAA Wirtschaftsakademie, a state-certified business school in the heart of Duesseldorf, Germany, has been partnering with the University of Cumbria for over ten years.
In this long-standing partnership, we jointly deliver our BachelorPlus programme that enables our students to gain both a German commercial degree and a Bachelor of Arts in International Business Management.
From the very beginning of our partnership, the University of Cumbria has been dedicated to understanding the needs of our German students to gain a truly international degree that not only paves the way for a prosperous career in business but also facilitates further international academic pursuits. We have been building and refining the programme together to deliver it in a way that enables students to get the most out of their studies and rise to their fullest potential.
The University of Cumbria is so welcoming to our students. We visit the University of Cumbria once a year before the students’ year abroad, and the students can already familiarise themselves with their future university.
In the past ten years, I have seen students thrive and perform extraordinarily well in this programme, enabling them to take on successful careers in international companies. Only last year, one of our graduates became 'Student of the Year' in Cumbria in the Bachelor Programme, making us very proud.
Though two separate institutions, in our collaboration, the University of Cumbria and the DAA Wirtschaftsakademie work as one team towards one goal: to deliver this unique programme for young individuals aspiring to pursue an international career. With great enthusiasm, we look forward to many more years of shared success.
