James Newcome - Bishop of Carlisle

I was involved with the creation of the University of Cumbria, and have watched its progress with great enthusiasm and delight.  Its engagement with the wider community has been second to none, and the University makes a very significant contribution to the well-being as well as the economy of the whole County.  As an educational establishment it has already been truly transformative, and I warmly welcome its ongoing vision and strategic initiatives.
