PRESS NOTICE: University of Cumbria to mark International Women’s Day
The University of Cumbria will proudly celebrate some of those students and alumni who embody the #BreaktheBias theme of International Women’s Day that’s happening on Tuesday 8 March 2022.
A short series featuring current students and members of its alumni association will be promoted by the university throughout the day tomorrow (Tuesday 8 March).
They include a conservationist who has worked internationally, a mother of one who lives in West Cumbria and is inspiring others through her love of the outdoors, and an MA student who was the project co-ordinator of women’s led mountain group, Ascend Afghanistan, which enables women to access sport and learn to climb.
