University of Cumbria ranked top 5 nationally for graduate employability
The University of Cumbria has been ranked No.1 in the Northwest and among the top five universities in the UK for graduate outcomes, according to the latest Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) data.
The results highlight the university’s strong performance in preparing students for successful careers, with:
- 97.5% of graduates in employment or further study
- 88.4% in highly skilled roles
- Outcomes 4.1% above the sector average
This success reflects the university’s Towards 2030 strategy, focused on delivering career-focused, accessible education aligned to regional and national skills needs.
Vice Chancellor Professor Julie Mennell DL said: “Being recognised among the top universities in the UK for graduate employability, and number one in the Northwest, reflects our place-based mission and relentless focus on preparing our students for the world of work.
